An exquisite Fabergé ‘Queen’s 80th Birthday Celebration’ necklet, created by Victor Mayer for Fabergé Ltd and the Royal Mint in 2006. The pendant takes the form of a miniature Fabergé egg in 18K yellow gold, decorated with royal blue, hand-chased leaf-patterned enamel.
The egg is encircled by 20 brilliant-cut diamonds, with a further 12 diamonds set into the bale, giving a total estimated diamond weight of approximately 0.40ct. The pendant is suspended from an 18K yellow gold chain and is signed by Victor Mayer and hallmarked .750 for 18K gold.
Presented in its original Fabergé polished cherry wood and ivory silk box, complete with Certificate of Authenticity, reference F2580 MB / 7FAB, confirming this example as No. 22 of only 26 issued.
